Video Editing Test
We have tried video editing and both the laptops perform really well but if we have to choose one, I will highly recommend the Intel i5 as its rendering time is faster compared to Ryzen 5.

In gaming you are able to see there are huge differences between both of the laptops and the clear winner is HP Victus. But it doesn’t mean the i5 laptop is not good for gaming. In MSI, we are getting lower fps because its GPU comes with 50Watt TGP on the other hand HP Victus GPU comes with 85Watt TGP.
We have tested multiple laptops available in the market and according to our experience, we can tell you, you can buy either i5 or Ryzen 5 there will not be a huge difference in the gaming performance because for gaming the higher priority is GPU. If the laptop has a higher TGP, it will perform better.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a laptop, especially for gaming then you can go with any of these two processors i5 or Ryzen 5. make sure to check the dedicated graphics TGP.
If you are looking for a laptop, especially for video editing + gaming, then definitely you should consider a laptop with Intel i5. i5 laptops also produce less heat compared to Ryzen 5.
